Marina Sabados

Marina Ileana Sabados, senior researcher, graduated in Art Theory and History from the "N. Grigorescu" Art Institute (currently the National University of Arts). PhD in Art History with a thesis on 16th Century Moldavian painting on wood (Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj,  supervisor: Academician Marius Porumb). Member of the Department for Medieval Art and Architecture since 1990. She served as Director ad interim of G. Oprescu Institute in April 2011. Since May 2011 until her retirement, in December 2014, she has held the position of deputy director.
